How can we easily enter a sale without a project?

We can't quite figure it out.

We've tried using tasks, but I can't enter customers there. It's not quite how I imagine it should be.

We have a lot of sales that aren't projects.

Example 1: Make a hydraulic hose. That involves parts and hours.

Example 2: Selling an item that needs to be invoiced.

Currently, we collect the various items they pick up. Then we invoice them later.
